Upload a normal, text-based PDF and get an Excel workbook containing only the tables found in the document. Paragraphs, headings and other page content are left out. Scanned and image-only PDFs are not supported by this tool.
How it works
- Upload a text-based PDF that contains one or more tables.
- The converter detects table regions page by page and separates them into worksheets.
- Download the Excel workbook with only the extracted table data.
Why use this tool
- Exports table cells only - surrounding paragraphs and page content are excluded.
- Places each detected table in its own worksheet for easier review.
- Supports multi-page PDFs with multiple tables.
- Scanned and image-only PDFs are rejected clearly instead of being sent through OCR.
Frequently asked questions
Does this tool extract text outside a table?
No. It exports only table regions detected in the PDF. Headings, paragraphs and other page content are omitted.
Can I upload a scanned PDF?
No. This tool requires selectable text and does not run OCR. Use a scanned-PDF OCR tool first when the PDF is image-only.
Where do multiple tables go?
Each detected table is placed in a separate worksheet in the downloaded Excel workbook.
Why was no table found?
Borderless or highly irregular layouts can be difficult to detect. Make sure the PDF contains selectable text and a recognizable row-and-column structure.
